What are the characteristics of bamboo leaves?

Bamboo leaves, chinese medicine name. It is a leaf of the light bamboo such as the grass. Distributed throughout shandong, henan and the yangtze river basin. It has the effect of clearing heat and removing trouble, shengjin and diuresis. For fever, polydipsia, convulsions in children, cough and vomiting, short red urine, mouth acne.

 

Light bamboo is also known as: Mao jinzhu, white bamboo. The plants are woody and arborescent. The height is 6-18m, the diameter is 5-7cm, it is still green after growing, or it is gray-green when old, and the ankle ring and the ankle ring are very uplifted. The back of the tendon sheath is hairless or has a hairy upper part, yellowish green to pale yellow with grayish black spots and streaks; the ear and its bristles are easily detached; the stalk leaves are long lanceolate, wrinkled, and the base is contracted; branchlets with 1-5 leaves, leaf sheath sheath glabrous; leaves dark green, glabrous, narrow lanceolate, 1-2 cm wide, secondary veins 6-8 pairs, thin. Spikelets arranged in tiling-like panicles; spikelets containing 2-3 flowers, apical flowers degenerate, 1 or 2 locules, lanceolate, pubescently pubescent; the apex has 2 teeth, micro hairy, 12-15mm long; the number of scales varies, 3 to 1 or absent, lanceolate, about 3mm long; anthers 7-10mm long, flowering, with a long the filaments hang from the outside of the flower; the ovary has a pointed ovate shape and a long-shaped flower-shaped apex. The two have a total length of about 7 mm and three stigmas, each of which is about 5 mm long and has a brush-like shape. The bamboo shoots are from april to may, and the flowering period is from october to may.
